Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the monthly residential care fee?
The monthly fee of SGD 2,280 covers accommodation in a home-like setting, three daily meals prepared fresh in our kitchen, personal care assistance (hygiene, mobility, medication management), laundry services, daily activities, and 24-hour support staff. Medical consumables and specialised treatments are billed separately as needed.
How do I arrange a respite care stay?
Arranging respite care is straightforward. Contact us by phone or through the form below, and we can complete the intake process within a day. There is no minimum stay requirement — you can book from a single night up to three weeks. We welcome repeat bookings whenever your family needs support.
Can I visit my family member at any time?
Yes. Kinsfolk operates an open visiting policy. Family members are welcome to visit during our general visiting hours from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. We encourage families to join residents for meals or activities whenever possible. If you need to arrange a visit outside these hours, please contact us in advance.
What qualifications does your care staff have?
All our care staff hold recognised certifications in eldercare from the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or equivalent bodies. Our team undergoes regular in-service training covering dementia care, fall prevention, first aid, and emotional support techniques. A registered nurse oversees all medical care plans.
Is the Intergenerational Connection Programme suitable for seniors with dementia?
Yes. The programme is designed to be inclusive and adaptable. Activities are tailored to each participant's abilities and comfort level. Many families find that the social stimulation and meaningful interaction support cognitive engagement. Our facilitators are trained to work sensitively with seniors at various stages of cognitive health.
How does Kinsfolk handle medical emergencies?
We have 24-hour support staff on-site and clear emergency protocols in place. First-aid trained caregivers provide initial response, and we maintain close relationships with nearby clinics and hospitals for prompt referrals. Families are contacted as soon as possible in any medical situation.
Are there subsidies or financial assistance available?
Singapore offers various eldercare subsidies through the Ministry of Health and the Agency for Integrated Care. Eligibility depends on household income and the level of care required. We are happy to guide you through the application process and help identify any support your family may qualify for.
